We are owners, handlers and breeders of working Irish Water Spaniels and use them in the shooting field as well as competitively in gun dog working tests and field trials. We even enter the occasional show.
Our Water Spaniels are bred for temperament, for working in the shooting field, competing in gundog working tests and field trials, but most of all they are bred to be great companions, with fantastic personalities. The dogs we now use for breeding are all hip scored, elbow scored and have annual eye tests. In addition, mating considerations are checked against a breed database and genetics program to ensure we achieve low levels of inbreeding.
Our current dogs come from the United States, Sweden, Ireland and homebred by us in the UK.
We devote most of our time and energy to the breed, including the promotion of the breed.
We occasionally have puppies available and would be delighted to talk to you about the Breed and whether it is suitable for you.

A Crufts first for Kirkmarsh
This is Kirkmarsh Boaster, otherwise known as Tristan who has made a first for the Kirkmarsh Kennel by being the first Irish Water Spaniel to have qualified for Crufts in the team flyball competition.
He was part of the Warrington Wizards team in the competition and who made it through to the final.

Tristan is by our American import Bentley out of our Swedish import Liz.
